What is a good credit score?
Your Experian Credit Score is based on the information in your Experian Credit Report. It is a number between 0-999, with 999 being the best score. The company will also tell you whether your score is very poor, poor, fair, good or excellent, to give you an idea of what your score means. I’ve been turned down for credit – what should I do?
Follow the steps below if you are turned down for credit:
Do not apply for another credit account immediately, as this will decrease your credit score.
Check your account details in the “my account” section of your membership. If you have not provided the address history and all the names used by you in the last 6 years to the company then you won’t be seeing an accurate view of your credit report and score.
Check whether your new history is updated on the account or not.
In the meantime, contact the bank or financial institution involved and ask why they turned your application down.
You can also call credit expert on free helpline number to find out what might affect your ability to get credit.
